At the end of 2023 I had a dream in which my mom told me to build a champagne glass. When I woke up I wondered if that would be within my reach. The first one I saw that day was a lovely singer, who I was preparing a show with. She laughed at the rabbit hole I already jumped straight into but thought it was a great idea.
By talking to more people and researching, I realised I probably actually make it work!
From idea and brainstorms, to researching, to adjusting parts and gluing thousands of rhinestones, the whole thing took around 6 months. The progress was so much fun and I’m still very happy with the results every time I build up the glass! In building the glass, I wouldn’t change a thing as the glass suits my moves perfectly, but I do have some updates in mind!
The first trip the glass got to make was to Alkmaar for a photoshoot with Keith Montgomery and videoshoot with Guido Vrouwe
As for the video, that one got a bit forgotten, but here it is, a wonderful champagne glass teaser.
I can definitely see that my glass and I still needed to get used to each other the moment we filmed it, but I love the shots Guido got and I’m always amazed by the musicality in his way of putting video and music together!
